PC having some problems Empty
PostSubject: PC having some problems   PC having some problems EmptyFri Jul 03, 2009 9:56 am

I don't know what my cousin has done on my computer.
He just played games on it but recently I've been received the warning messages from Avast that says connection to jl.chura.pl has
been blocked whenever I use the firefox.
I have no idea what he has downloaded or the website he has connected to.

If I use IE , the message won't show up.
I've tried to do scans on my pc with Dr.Web and Avast and deleted everything they detected to be probably having trojans/viruses
, but the message still appears.

Question 1 : Is there any way to solve this problem ?

I'm considering reinstalling my OS to XP SP3 but not sure if it's acceptable.
My spec is as followed :
Quad 6600 2.4Ghz
1Gb Ram 800 DDR|| x 2
Nvidia 8600GT 512MB DDR||| PCI-E
320 Gb SATA HD
Current OS : Vista Home Edition 32-Bit

Question 2 : Does XP SP3 support Quad processors and SATA driver ?

I totally hate Vista...

Did you try going to trend micro and doing an online scan? That usually takes away most of the threats for me Smile

I went to trend micro but I can't find the free tool? Unless it's somewhere else. I also want to have an option since I have AVG

The free scan is called HouseCall. Its located under the free tools on the front page or just search it. It works nice.

I haven't tried Trend.
All the anti-virus software I've tried are Avast , Dr.Web and Twister.

As mentioned b4 , I deleted all the data in the firefox and removed it.
Yesterday I just reinstalled it and I haven't received any warning messages from Avast since then.

Weird...

In fact I did try restore my CP.
to the day that my CP was still out of this problem but in vain.
That message still appeared.

Yet I haven't tried to restore to the older days anyway.
